Research Careers in the Bennett Lab
POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Post-doctoral associate positions are now available for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in studying the signal transduction mechanisms of protein tyrosine phosphatases. The research project seeks to investigate the mechanisms of MAP kinase phosphatases as novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of human diseases such as metabolic disease, heart disease and cancer. The project will utilize chemical biology, structural biology, proteomics, biochemical and mouse genetic techniques to define the molecular basis of MAP kinase phosphatase signaling in disease. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining an independent research project and will require expertise in either cell signaling, biochemical techniques and mouse genetic skills. The position will necessitate a high level of collaborative interactions with other research teams at Yale University in a multi-disciplinary environment using state-of-the-art equipment. Support for academic enrichment and development will be core to the postdoctoral research experience in the Bennett lab. The Yale University School of Medicine community offers tremendous opportunities for collaboration in many areas of the biological sciences and medicine and the applicant will have the opportunity to engage in translational research experiences.
